traceable to Sl unit.Each sample is measured twice using two different coulometric instruments.The volumetric KF titrationwas used as a second technique on a selected number of samples to confirm the reliabilty of the performance.Both methodsare verified against NIST SRM 2890, the coulometric determination additionally against NMIJCRM 4222

These standards are used for testing thereliability of KF analyses according to differentnorms (e.g. ISO 9000 or ISO 17025). They arealso suitable for water addition when carryingouta suitability test according to Ph.Eur.

Use

The ampoule has a predetermined breakingzone. Protect yourself by wearing gloves. Openthe ampoule directly before use.Atmosphericmoisture can penetrate in an open ampoule, orvery dry air can absorb water from the liquid andtherefore falsify the results.For expiration datafor the closed ampoule see label and Report ofAnalysis.

1.Snap off the top tag of the ampoule at the predetermined breaking zone.

2.Rinse a glass syringe with approx. 0.5 mLstandard.

3. Draw the rest of the standard immediately into the syringe.

4. Carry out 2-3 control determinations.

For rmonitoring the system or after the anaylsisof a sample, add a known amount of HydranalWater Standard and analyze it the same way asthe sample. The amount of added water shouldbe similar to the water amount in the sample.

The recovery rate should ideally be within theexpanded measurement uncertainty stated onthe Report of Analysis. Literature gives varyingrecommendations for recovery rates, e.g. theEuropean Pharmacopoeia:

Anwendung

1.Brechen Sie die Ampulle an der Sollbruchstelle auf.

2.Spulen Sie eine Glasspritze mit etwa0,5mL Standard.

3.Ziehen Sie die restliche Menge sofort indie Spritze auf.

4.Fuhren sie 2-3 Kontrollbestimmungendurch.

Zur generellen Gerateuberwachung oder nachder Analyse einer Probe wird eine bestimmteMenge Hydranal Water Standard zugesetzt undin gleicher Weise analysiert. Die zugesetzteWassermenge sollte in etwa der Wassermengein der Probe entsprechen.

Die Wiederfindungsrate sollte idealenweiseinnerhalb der aufdem Analysenreportangegebenen erweiterten Messunsicherheitliegen. In der Literatur gibt es zur Wieder-findungsrate verschiedene Emfehlungen,z.B.in der Europaischen Pharmakopoe:
