This CRM is packaged i a sealed container and must be stared at -10Cto-20°℃. To use this CRM, allow it to reach room temperature. The sample is to be analyzed using the solid waste methad for sedimentsoil using purge and trap.
Weigh 10.0g of the Vocs in Soil - Low Level Matrix Blank into a sparger cel.
Carefully snap the top off the VOCs in Soil- Low Level Spike ampule.
Using a 1mL gas tight syringe, inject 1mL of the concantrate into the matrix by placing the syringe tip slightlybelow the surface of the matrix in the sparger cell.
lmmediately complete other sample preparation steps such as adding water to the sparger cell and closing theapparatus according to your analytical procedures. Periom this step fast.
Complete the analysis according to your normai procedures.
Report resutts in units of mgkg based on a 10 g sample size. No dry weight correction is required.
Certified concentration is based upon the gravimetricvoluetric true value when prepared according to instructions.
Acceptance limits are based upon USEPA solid and chemical Interlaboratory studies.
Traceabilitv Information
Analyte Source Materials:The highest purity analyte source materials are used in the manufacture of this standard. The actual purity isreferenced above.
Method: This CRM was verified
Volumetrically/Gravimetrically and Analytically
Balance: All analyical balances are calibrated on a semiannual basis by an IS0 17025 accredited calibration laboratary and are traceableto NIST.Traceable Calibration Cartificate available upon request.
Al balances are checked daily by an in-house standard operating procedure. The weights used for this daily verificatlon are calibratedannually by an lS0 17025 accredited calbration laboratory and are certilied raceable to NIST. Cetificate of Calibration and Traceabilityavailable upon request.
Thermometer: All thermormeters are NlST traceable through theamomelers thal are calbrated annually by an IS0 17025 accrediledcalibration laboratory.
Glassware: Allglassware used in the manuiacture of our standards is Class A. An in-hcuse standard operating procedure is used toverify all glassware prior lo it being placed inlo service.Voumetric pipetors are calibraled every four months by an IS0 17025 accrediltedcalibration laboratory.
